Fatum Aeternum release new maxi-single “The Pain”
After
almost a year of silence, Fatum Aeternum presents their new work – Maxi Single
“The Pain”, intended to be the first but not the last in a sequence of
releases, aimed to be a new vision of dark rock and gothic metal. Renewed with
strong electronics bit, arranged by Steve Gershin and completed by the sound
production of George Falk, “The Pain” is a deep and highly visualized
presentation of all the bands’ influences.
The band comments: “After releasing our previous single “One Bastard” we once again went into a creative search. It took us a while, but eventually we came across the combination that fits us both as a band and as individuals. This combination includes dominating atmosphere created by the new means of technology, specifically by Orion Platinum by Synapse Audio Software and Addictive Drums by XLN Audio. We’re very grateful to the creators of these amazing tools for helping musicians to achieve a great sound easily and with affordable price”.
Among others, the new musical style of the band preserves the elements from years back: expressional male and female vocals, heavy, yet atmospheric guitars and piercing violin solos.
As for the future, the band plans to continue the practice of maxi-singles, releasing new songs alongside reworked and improved versions of older songs that didn’t receive the exposure they deserve.

Most of our
favorite (non black and death) Italian Heavy Metal maniacs are known for
horror, pain, and doom. With the
exception of the Epic Metal masters Dark Quarterer, Italy
hasn’t produced many classic metal albums the way the USA did back in
the prime of the 80’s. It’s really
refreshing to hear a brand new band have such a great traditional style played
with catchy-ness and conviction. It’s
almost like they took every great thing about IRON MAIDEN, SAVAGE GRACE, LIEGE
LORD, EXCITER, DARKNESS, DEATHROW, DESTRUCTION, AGENT STEEL, FATES WARNING,
HEATHEN’S RAGE, and so many more to make this incredible catchy heavy metal
music that seems to play on repeat in your head when you’re not even listening
to it. The vocals are great, high
pitched, sung in English with a slight Italian accent. The guitar player crushes you with riff after
riff and shreds you with all different kinds of leads. This is the kind of music almost any heavy
metal fan would enjoy. This is limited

Possession productions present the Portuguese-British artistic chimera TOD HUETET UEBEL that unimaginably combines traditional misanthropic Black Metal and really dark and destructive ambient music.
The first full-length album "Malicia" will be released soon in limited edition. The design of a 6-panel Digi-CD created by extravagant Parisian Jean-Emmanuel "Valnoir" Simoulin. It was he who perfectly designed artworks for more than 150 bands, including Alcest, Antaeus, Behemoth, The Black Dahlia Murder, Solstafir, Ascension, Der Blutharsch, Laibach, Morbid Angel, Paradise Lost, Peste Noire, Taake, Ulver and Watain. It is the Artist who painted blood and paint from human bones in the modern world. He is the only who could display the dark essence of "Malicia" album in the visual form!
No doubt that the album would be liked by those who seek a genuine darkness in music. Difficult music, but straightforward in its message. And really atmospheric. DEATHSPELL OMEGA, ABIGOR, BLUT AUS NORD and SECRETS OF THE MOON can become reference points for illumination in damp dungeons soundscapes of TOD HUETET UEBEL. And we guarantee that this band has its own face. Albeit for most people it is rather face of disfigured monster that reflecting in the steel scythe. Pitch Black Records announces the addition of Italian Symphonic Power Metal band CRIMSON WIND to its artist roster.
Formed in Palermo, Italy, in December 2008 by Claudio Florio (of Trinkarius and Holy Knights) and Niki Zummo who both wanted to form a band heavily influenced by power metal, the band’s debut album («The Wings of Salvation») was released in 2011 receiving raving reviews worldwide from fans and music critics.
The band is now back with their sophomore effort, titled “Last Poetry Line” and featuring a new vocalist along with a refreshing sound delivering their fierce version of Symphonic Power Metal which apart from some damn serious drumming and riffing also includes fine keyboard and choir arrangements among other elements. This is definitely an album no Power Metal fan should miss!

From California, US, Detente remained an underground force, managing to release only one full length album at that time after a few demos. This is it. Looking back, it's not hard to see why it had so much appeal - the riffing is clean, elegant yet stunning, the vocals elevate the music to a different level and the execution is near flawless. The music carries a raw energy, a special classic vibe that's impossible to recreate in these times. There's just so much passion and excitement - one can derive a vicarious thrill just listening to it. Xtreem Music has done a fantastic job putting it all together, all the early material of Detente as well as CATALEPSY demos (band formed by Detente members).

The Kill are out to obliterate them all. All. The band quickly rose to become one of the most respected grindcore acts in the underground and the latest album leaves no doubt. 'Kill Them...All' is as intense as the band's previous outputs but the aggression is tempered with better riffs, superior production and a vitriolic thrash edge, forming a bond that will have everyone scarred for life. The music is reminiscent of the peak works of NASUM, ROTTEN SOUND, P.L.F. and INSECT WARFARE, ranking among the very best in the genre in recent times. This is Old School Death Metal reminiscent of one of the genre's overlooked originators of sorts, NECROPHAGIA, the same gloom, horror vibe and doom; it is also comparable to AUTOPSY, mid-period ABSCESS, OBITUARY and early ASPHYX. This is gut-churning, twisted Death Metal, reeking of foulness, perversion and rot in spirit and sound. AUTOPSY and its clones propagated this style, crossing and blending boundaries of the genre in the form of Goregrind, and this band is taking it forward still. It's catchy, thick like PUNGENT STENCH, has its roots in old school music but is served with the right dose of everything mentioned, making it rather palatable and revolting - just perfect.

Dans la discographie de Blind
Guardian il y a un album fantôme. Oui, car cet album ne figure pas dans la
discographie officielle du groupe et il n’y en a aucune trace sur leur site
internet. Par contre il figure bel et bien sur le site metal-archives.com. De
plus il est sorti via Nuclear Blast, dernier label du groupe en date. Il s’agit
du live The Sacred Worlds and Songs Divine Tour 2010 qui présente comme
première piste le titre Sacred Worlds en version edit et huit titres live tirés
de la prestation que le groupe a faite au Wacken en 2007. Ce live, en version « jewel
case » est sorti en Allemagne le 14 juillet 2010 avec le magazine Metal
Hammer. 14 juillet 2010, donc environ deux semaines avant la sortie de l’album
studio At the Edge of Time dont le titre Sacred Worlds se veut alors comme
single.
Il y a deux points très positifs
à souligner par rapport à The Sacred Worlds and Songs Divine Tour 2010. D’abord
par rapport aux autres live du groupe, Tokyo Tales (1993), Live (2003), Imaginations
from the Other Side (dvd 1995) qui réunissaient évidemment un live mais composé
de plusieurs soirées réunies, choisies, ici nous tenons la prestation du groupe
sur une seule soirée. Une sorte de « one shot » où la première prise
est la bonne.
Deuxièmement l’ambiance est dantesque. Le groupe allemand est
au mieux de sa forme et ne s’épargne pas devant son public. Il joue à domicile,
le festival de Wacken est en Allemagne et discute en allemand entre un titre et
l’autre dans une ambiance survoltée. Comme dit, le groupe joue les titres le
plus connus de sa discographie (même si je regrette qu’il n’y ait pas Majesty)
comme vous pouvez le constater. On voit aussi que Blind Guardian est conscient
de l’accueil mitigé de son dernier né de l’époque A Twist In The Myth puisque
seulement le titre Fly est joué.
Quoi dire d’autre ? Superbe.
L’un des meilleurs moments reste Valhalla, titre qui normalement se termine sur
des notes de basse et de guitare et la voix de Hansi Kürsch qui déclame
« Valhalla – Deliverance / Why've you ever forgotten me ». Ici le
public reprend le refrain à voix haute et le groupe, une fois que la chanson était
sensée être terminée, reprend de plus belle en rallongeant le titre de
plusieurs minutes. Les chœurs du public, les « la, la, la, » sur
Mirror, Mirror aussi donnent une idée de la bonne ambiance qui régnait ce soir
là.
Il faut noter aussi que le titre The
Sacred Worlds and Songs Divine Tour 2010 n’est pas trompeur même si la prestation
du groupe est celle du Wacken 2007. En effet le livret intérieur présente la
tournée qui allait démarrer en 2010, le The Sacred Worlds and Songs Divine Tour,
avec l’annonce des dates, des villes et
des salles où le groupe aurait joué en octobre 2010.
Enfin la bonne nouvelle est que,
même si vous n’avez pas The Sacred Worlds and Songs Divine Tour 2010, ce
concert est disponible en intégralité sur youtube. En intégralité puisque ce
soir là Blind Guardian a joué 16 titres contre 8 qui figurent sur le cd.

De La Muerte
is a modern and aggressive hard 'n heavy band charmed by the mexican
"Nuestra Señora de la
Santa Muerte" cult, which inspired each of the 10
"damned stories" contained in their groundbreaking debut album. The
band was formed by some of the most experienced and technically proficient
musicians in the Italian scene with the desire to mix Heavy Metal and Hard Rock
with some shades of Progressive and a “Southern” flavour. ‘De la Muerte’ was
recorded by Simone Mularoni (DGM) and Simone Bertozzi (Mnemic) at Domination
Studio in San Marino, Italy. It was
also produced, mixed and mastered by Simone Mularoni.

become cult acts. That’s what happened during the 25 years that saw PUTRID
OFFAL arise, die and become legendary while dead… UNTIL NOW!
Twenty five
years after its inception, twenty years after its demise, PUTRID OFFAL are back
with their debut full-length AT LAST! But, even if the band already wrote much
new material as showcases the exclusive track “Livor Mortis” on the companion
EP “Suffering” (the first PUTRID OFFAL original in 20 years!), they decided to
give their back catalogue an up-date and re-write and re-record each and every
track ever composed during its first years before embarking on a new killing
spree.

Melodic/Symphonic Death Metal act Meadows End released their 2nd full length
album THE SUFFERWELL last summer, now it is time for a new release!
This time
12 songs will be released over the entire year. On the last of each month, one
song will be released on Meadows Ends YouTube-channel, starting on January
31st.
During the
years 1999-2006 Meadows End wrote and recorded 12 concept songs that ended up
on various demos and EPs. Songs that deserved a uniform recording and
production.
We hereby

When Death Metal bands hook up with Los Angeles' Gore House Records, good things usually happen. It usually involves a musical product consisting of a lethal and catchy combination of gore, slam, death, and grind. BLOODSCRIBE'S "Prologue To The Apocalypse" is no exception.
"Prologue To The Apocalypse" works as a complete experience, each song enjoyable with not a torrid, riff-drenched second wasted. Textured riff work is omnipresent; big, meaty chunks and bloody shards are present at every treacherous turn. BLOODSCRIBE may not knock the legends from their lofty pedestals, but the quartet can certainly hold its own. The mutant music of "Prologue To The Apocalypse" is not something that is learned. It is conjured from the soul and shot out through the eye sockets. This is a hungry new band out to blacken hearts and minds with their dark, swirling, catchy, sinister Death Metal, and with "Prologue To The Apocalypse" they're off to a helluva start. Featuring album art by Indonesian illustrator Mondo Borneo, Prologue to the Apocalypse was recorded, mixed and mastered by Chris Garcia at the Morgue Music Studio (Stages of Decomposition) in Los Angeles CA.

From Finland, My Shameful releases its
sixth full length album, this time on Moscow Funeral League. The band has only
got better with each one, its doom metal bearing death metal heaviness with a
funeral doom longing. It's tearing in a sense, the doleful music stabbing your
heart ever so slowly, artfully, in a manner that wouldn't hurt you as much
perhaps. This is atmospheric in a way too, playing with your mind, reminiscent
of the plodding music of other bands from Finland such as SHAPE OF DESPAIR,
PROFETUS, TYRANNY and also others like WORSHIP and MOURNFUL CONGREGATION circa
'The Monad of Creation'. This is top notch doom metal that grows on you, creeps
over you while you remain transfixed by the gently throbbing, sinking music.

Who Dies In Siberian Slush have released a couple of great albums on Solitude Productions and keep getting better with each one. This is the latest material by the band and the music is remarkable - there is added depth, clarity of resonance and multiple instrumentation. Flute and trombone are used to add more heart-wrenching colours to the funeral-esque procession while remaining firmly in the memories of death. Death/Doom has rarely been so well expressed.
My Shameful continue to dish out high quality funeral doom evocative of SKEPTICISM, TYRANNY, SHAPE OF DESPAIR and also the great DOLORIAN. Smooth, plodding doom metal that will have your heart ensconced in its loving grip as it surreptitiously squeezes it to slow death. This is in continuation of the latest full length also released on Moscow Funeral League records. Good, moving, touching doom with the right atmosphere.
